Working Hours:

• To ensure proper recording of players’ data in the starter sheet before they tee off (tee-off time, membership numbers, member and guests’ names, handicap, crossover time, and completion time).

• To ensure golfers display authorized golf bag tags.
• To ensure that every golfer/caddie carry sand pails.
• To enforce and ensure all bye-laws, golf rules etiquette is observed during play.
• To carry out regular patrols on the golf courses enforcing and ensuring the golf bye-laws, rules of golf, and etiquette are observed by all players.
• To ensure all aspects are intact i.e. Tee Box markers, Pin placements, Fallen Stakes, Golfers &, etc.
• To ensure the cleanliness of golf courses.
• To caution, reprimand, and issue infringement note to errant golfers.
• To prepare slow play reports daily.
• To assist Supervisors in updating competition scoreboards during tournaments.
• To carry out other related dueties as and when required by the Golf Manager / Golf Executive / Supervisors from time to time.

Requirements:

• Possess a Secondary/SPM/'O' Level certification or equivalent.
• Comprehensive knowledge of golf rules and etiquette to ensure fair play and smooth operations on the course.

Amentum is seeking a Golf Course Manager to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The Golf Course Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and overall appearance of the golf course and surrounding grounds. This position plans, organizes, directs, and supervises golf course maintenance activities to ensure safe and playable course conditions while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

•    Plan, organize, and supervise the daily operations of gold course maintenance and groundskeeping.
•    Receive, review, and assign maintenance requests and work orders.
•    Schedule and supervise maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion.
•    Oversee mowing, trimming, edging, fertilization, irrigation, landscaping, and general turf maintenance.
•    Inspect, maintain, and repair golf course infrastructure, including cart paths, parking areas, sidewalks, bridges, bunkers, and course amenities.
•    Monitor and maintain irrigation and drainage systems to promote healthy turf conditions and prevent flooding or water damage.
•    Perform and oversee tree trimming, brush removal, weed control, and vegetation management to maintain course safety and appearance.
•    Coordinate erosion control and landscape improvement projects.
•    Ensure all maintenance equipment is inspected, serviced, repaired, and safely operated.
•    Train and supervise grounds maintenance staff on equipment operation, safety procedures, and best maintenance practices.

Required Qualifications:

•    Five (5) or more years of experience in golf course maintenance, grounds maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
•    Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
•    Experience with irrigation systems, landscaping equipment, and turf management is highly desirable.
•    Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.

Working Environment
