We are seeking a reliable, friendly and service-oriented Golf Assistant to join our Golf Operations team in Rawang. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, interacting with customers and being part of a professional golf environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and assist golfers throughout their visit.
• Handle golfers' golf bags, clubs, trolleys and other equipment with care.
• Prepare, arrange and maintain golf carts and equipment.
• Assist at the bag drop, first tee and other golf operation areas.
• Provide basic information and assistance to golfers regarding the course and facilities.
• Ensure golf operation areas are clean, organized and presentable.
• Assist with golf tournaments, corporate events and club activities.
• Report damaged equipment, safety concerns and operational issues to the supervisor.
• Support the Golf Operations team in daily activities and other duties as assigned.

About you

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Previous experience in golf, hospitality, hotel, resort or customer service is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of golf is an advantage.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English.
• Friendly, polite and customer-focused personality.
• Comfortable working outdoors.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

What You'll Do :

• Plan, manage, and oversee the overall maintenance and development of the golf course to ensure exceptional course conditioning, playability, safety, and aesthetics in accordance with the Club's standards.
• Lead all aspects of turfgrass management, including mowing, fertilization, aeration, weed control, bunker maintenance, and the implementation of comprehensive turf management programmes.
• Monitor, operate, and maintain the golf course irrigation system to ensure optimal water distribution and healthy turf growth. This includes scheduling irrigation cycles, adjusting sprinkler heads, and troubleshooting system issues.
• Develop and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programmes to prevent and control turf pests and diseases through regular inspections, appropriate treatments, and proper record-keeping.
• Oversee landscape maintenance, including the care of trees, shrubs, flower beds, and other green areas to enhance the overall beauty and presentation of the golf course.
• Manage the maintenance, servicing, and repair of golf course machinery, turf equipment, and construction equipment, while ensuring efficient budget utilization for equipment procurement and upkeep.
• Prepare maintenance plans, operational reports, records, and annual budgets.
• Lead, coach, and supervise the grounds maintenance team to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety practices and environmental sustainability initiatives.
• Work closely with Club Management to continuously improve the overall golfing experience.

This is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for positioning Robinswood as a leading golf and lifestyle destination while driving revenue, strengthening the brand, growing our digital presence, and building a strong and engaged Robinswood Community.

Responsibilities

• Marketing & Commercial Strategy: Develop and execute the annual marketing strategy aligned with the club’s business objectives, including revenue growth, golf participation, events, partnerships, and brand development.
• Brand Management: Strengthen and protect the Robinswood brand across all customer touchpoints, ensuring consistent positioning, communication, and premium presentation.
• Revenue Generation: Develop marketing campaigns and commercial initiatives that drive golf revenue, event participation, corporate golf, partnerships, sponsorships, and other club revenue opportunities.
• Digital & Social Media: Lead the club’s digital strategy, including social media, website, CRM/email communications, content planning, campaigns, and performance analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant marketing experience, ideally within golf, private clubs, hospitality, sports, luxury lifestyle, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge and genuine understanding of golf and golf culture is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in digital marketing, social media, content creation, events, and brand management.
• Commercial mindset with an understanding of how marketing contributes directly to revenue and business growth.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Creative, proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working across both strategy and execution.
