Supervise, schedule and assign daily tasks to golf course maintenance staff

·        Responsible for the preparation Statement of Accounts and posting of payments

·        Monitor Account Receivables

·        Safeguard and ensure collections from clients

The Membership, Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing the Club's membership (40%) and marketing & communications (60%) functions. The role drives membership growth and retention, develops and implements marketing strategies, enhances the Club's brand, and ensures effective communication with members and stakeholders while leading the Membership and Marketing & Communications teams. The role also has ownership of the Club's primary revenue-generating function through relevant KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

Membership Management

• Lead and oversee all membership administration processes, ensuring compliance with the Club's Constitution, policies, and procedures.
• Develop and implement strategies to recruit new members and improve member retention and engagement.
• Review and approve membership-related documentation prior to submission for Management and Membership Sub-Committee approval.
• Oversee the processing of new memberships, membership transfers, resignations, deceased members, senior member status, corporate memberships, and term memberships.
• Ensure the accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of all membership records and databases.
• Monitor membership statistics and prepare periodic reports, analysis, and recommendations for Management and the Membership Sub-Committee.
• Plan and oversee membership interviews, orientation sessions, Introduction Nights, and member engagement initiatives.
• Address and resolve member enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly that only pertaining to matters directly relating to membership.

Marketing & Communications

• Develop and execute annual marketing and communication strategies to enhance the Club's brand awareness and reputation.
• Plan and implement marketing campaigns to promote membership, golf activities, dining outlets, events, and Club facilities.
• Ownership of the Club's website and MyKgns, social media platforms, email marketing, mobile applications, and other communication channels.
• Ensure all marketing and communication materials are aligned with the Club's branding guidelines.
• Develop and manage content creation strategy, including newsletters, press releases, promotional materials, photography, videography, and digital content.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media, corporate partners, sponsors, external agencies and Management Committee and sub-committees as may be necessary.
• Monitor and report on marketing performance, digital analytics, and industry trends to recommend continuous improvements.

Events & Member Engagement

• Work closely with Golf Operations, Food & Beverage, Sports & Recreation, and other departments to promote tournaments, social events, and Club activities.
• Lead promotional campaigns for major Club events and membership drives.
• Develop initiatives to enhance member experience, satisfaction, and loyalty.

Leadership & Administration

• Supervise, coach, and develop the Membership Executive and Marketing & Communications personnel.
• Establish departmental goals, KPIs, and performance standards.
• Prepare and manage the department's annual budget and monitor expenditure.
• Prepare monthly management reports on membership performance, marketing activities, communications, and departmental achievements.
• Ensure compliance with Club policies, governance requirements, and relevant regulations.
• Liaise with internal departments, committees, external vendors, consultants, and government authorities where required.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant working experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in the golf club, country club, hospitality, leisure, or service industry will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of membership administration, customer relationship management, branding, digital marketing, and corporate communications.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, digital marketing platforms, multimedia design software and also other software used by the Club i.e QiSoft
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and project management abilities.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Able to work weekends, public holidays, and extended hours when required for Club events and activities.

As Golf Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our golf facilities and teams, ensuring exceptional service delivery, staff performance, and member satisfaction. This role is strategically important to our organisation as it directly impacts the quality of our golf operations and the overall experience of our members and guests.

Key responsibilities

1. Supervise and manage golf team members, including golf instructors, groundskeeping staff, and customer service personnel
2. Ensure all golf facilities, courses, and equipment are maintained to the highest standards of safety and quality
3. Develop and implement training programmes for golf staff to enhance their skills and customer service capabilities
4. Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching to drive continuous improvement
5. Manage member relations and handle complaints or concerns with professionalism and resolution-focused approach
6. Oversee scheduling, rostering, and resource allocation to optimise team efficiency and service delivery
7. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the golf facility
8. Contribute to the achievement of operational budgets and financial targets
9. Liaise with management on strategic initiatives and provide regular reporting on team performance metrics
10. Organise and coordinate golf events, tournaments, and membership activities

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within golf operations, sports management, or similar recreational facilities
2. Strong knowledge of golf operations, course management, and golf industry best practices
3. Excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and retain team members
4. Demonstrated experience in training and coaching staff to achieve performance targets
5. Strong organisational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in member engagement and relationship management
7. Problem-solving capabilities with a focus on delivering practical solutions
8. Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to sports and recreational facilities
9. Proficiency in using relevant computer systems and software for scheduling, reporting, and administration
10. Relevant qualifications or certifications in sports management, golf operations, or team leadership are desirable
11. Experience in budget management and financial planning is advantageous
