PIF Transforming Women’s Golf with Revamped Global Series

The Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia is taking a significant step in advancing women's golf by becoming the title partner of the newly revamped PIF Global Series. This initiative features five prestigious tournaments on the Ladies European Tour (LET), solidifying PIF's commitment to women's sports worldwide.

The PIF Global Series will host five tournaments across three continents in 2025, each with an innovative format that includes both team and individual competitions. The total prize pool for these events is an impressive $13 million, with four tournaments offering a purse of $2 million each. Notably, the PIF Saudi Ladies International stands out with a prize of $5 million, making it one of the largest in women's professional golf.

Tournament Schedule
- PIF Saudi Ladies International: Riyadh Golf Club, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (February 13-15, 2025)
- Aramco Korea Championship: New Korea Country Club, Seoul, South Korea (May 9-11, 2025)
- PIF Championship: Centurion Club, London, England (August 8-10, 2025)
- Aramco Houston Championship: TBC, Houston, USA (September 5-7, 2025)
- Aramco Shenzhen Championship: Mission Hills, Shenzhen, China (November 6-8, 2025)

Commitment to Women’s Sports
PIF's partnership emphasizes its dedication to breaking down barriers and addressing challenges faced by female athletes. Alanoud Althonayan, Head of Events and Sponsorships at PIF, stated that the organization aims to inspire and empower women in sports, driving growth and opportunity in women's golf globally.
Noah Alireza, CEO of Golf Saudi, highlighted the positive impact of international tournaments on local interest in women's golf, noting that over 6,000 individuals have registered for their free "GoGolf" lesson program. This partnership seeks to bridge local and global initiatives in women's golf.

Support from the Ladies European Tour
Alexandra Armas, CEO of the Ladies European Tour, praised PIF's investment as a vital contribution to raising the standard of competition and expanding opportunities for female golfers. The support from PIF ensures that players have access to top-tier experiences and competitive environments.

Charley Hull, a prominent golfer and Golf Saudi ambassador, expressed excitement about the new series, noting that it creates substantial opportunities for players. She emphasized the importance of equal opportunities and is eager to inspire more young people to take up golf.
