Keppel Club Announce New Initiatives: Fostering an Inclusive Golf Community in Singapore

11 July, 2025

Keppel Club, Singapore's sole members' club welcoming public golfers, is preparing for an exciting year in 2025. The club plans to launch a series of bold initiatives and events aimed at expanding its golfing community and making the sport more inclusive and accessible for all.

Expanding Golf Access – Golf for Everyone
Keppel Club's vision for 2025 is straightforward: to create a welcoming environment where everyone, from beginners to seasoned players, can learn, play, and connect. A highlight of this initiative is the introduction of the "Introductory Golf Try-Out by Keppel Club" program, launching in July 2025 in collaboration with Sport Singapore's ActiveSG. This program will help newcomers to golf familiarize themselves with the sport, allowing Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents to use ActiveSG credits to offset their fees.

In line with its commitment to inclusivity, Keppel Club is partnering with the Singapore Golf Association (SGA) and the Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) to offer golf experiences for persons with disabilities (PWDs). This collaboration aims to empower PWDs by providing them with opportunities to try and excel in golf.

Additionally, the club is enhancing access for corporate and private groups through customized booking packages, making it easier to enjoy a round of golf with colleagues, friends, or clients.

Major Events and Community Engagement - Keppel Club Community Golf Festival
2025 will also see the inaugural Keppel Club Community Golf Festival, scheduled from July 31 to August 2. This exciting event aims to bring people together in celebration of SG60—Singapore's 60th birthday. The festival will include golf clinics for individuals with disabilities and the underprivileged, highlighting the club's dedication to inclusivity. Attendees can also participate in a fun-filled "Jurassic Park" themed course, complete with surprises.

The festival's centerpiece will be the ActiveSG Pesta Sukan Golf Tournament, marking the debut of golf in this national sports festival. The tournament features two segments: an individual competition for men and women on the morning of August 2, and an inter-constituency competition in the afternoon, inviting participation from community clubs, sports networks, and grassroots advisors. Pesta Sukan is already fully subscribed.

Keppel Charity Golf
For over five decades, Keppel Club has championed community outreach, and this year's event continues that legacy with the 53rd Keppel Charity Golf Event. The event combines golf with culinary experiences, allowing members, guests, and corporate sponsors to give back to the community while enjoying a wonderful day - aiming to raise over $1 million for 16 charitable organizations.

Enhancing the Experience – New Services
To make 2025 even more memorable, Keppel Club will enhance its offerings with new services. The club is introducing Private and Corporate Golf Booking services, catering to individuals and businesses seeking a premium golfing experience. Whether for business meetings, corporate events, or private celebrations.

As Keppel Club celebrates its 121-year legacy, it remains dedicated to fostering an inclusive, vibrant, and community-driven golf culture in Singapore. With its exciting new initiatives and events, the club invites golfers of all levels, corporate groups, and newcomers to explore the diverse offerings available in 2025.
