Job Description

Role Purpose

The Golf Executive is responsible for the effective administration and coordination of the Club’s golfing operations. The role supports the Head of Golf in ensuring smooth daily golf operations, high standards of member service, and the successful execution of golf operation, competitions and events.

Key Responsibilities

Golf Operations & Administration

  • Administer daily golf operations, including tee-time bookings, competitions, tournaments, and casual play.
  • Prepare and manage competition materials such as draw sheets, scorecards, starter sheets, and result summaries.
  • Maintain accurate golf records, handicaps, and competition data in accordance with recognized handicapping systems.
  • Ensure compliance with the Club’s golf rules, policies, and etiquette.

Member & Guest Services

  • Attend to golf-related enquiries from members and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Coordinate visitor and reciprocal club bookings.
  • Assist in resolving golf-related feedback or issues raised by members.

Events & Competitions

  • Coordinate Club competitions, inter-club matches, and special golf events.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external parties, including visiting clubs and event organisers, to ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Provide on-site operational support during tournaments and major golf events.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Work closely with the Golfing Committee, Course Maintenance, Operations, and Membership teams.
  • Prepare basic reports on participation, competitions, and golf activities as required by Management or the Golfing Committee.
  • Assist with the implementation of golf-related policies, systems, and procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Sports Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and recognised handicapping systems
  • Prior experience in golf operations or club administration is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and golf management systems.
  • Willingness to work on weekends, public holidays, and during Club events as required.
