Valley Golf & Country Club, Inc. is seeking a passionate and experienced GOLF DIRECTOR to lead its GOLF OPERATIONS in Antipolo City, Rizal. This is a full-time position that will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction and growth of the club’s golf activities.
The GOLF DIRECTOR is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the golf operations at the Club. This role oversees all aspects of golf services, including daily play, tournaments, member relations, instructional programs, golf course utilization, pro shop operations, and staff supervision.
The GOLF DIRECTOR ensures the delivery of an exceptional golfing experience that aligns with the Club’s vision, standards, and service excellence.
What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the Golf Operations Division, including golf course activities, cart fleet, tournaments, marshals, and golf services personnel
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans to improve member experience, increase operational efficiency, and meet financial goals
- Collaborate with the management team to create and execute marketing plans to promote the club’s golfing experience
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate golf operations staff, ensuring ongoing training, performance management, and professional development
- Manage the Division’s annual budget, procurement, and inventory control in alignment with the Club’s financial guidelines
- Manage financial performance of the golf department, including revenue targets, expense control, and profitability
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and analyses for management review
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager, Golf Course Superintendent, and other department heads to ensure synergy in club-wide initiatives and guest satisfaction
- Serve as the primary contact for golf members, addressing concerns, feedback, and special requests.
- Promote club membership by highlighting the benefits and value of golf programs
- Spearhead the design and execution of major golf events, and club tournaments
- Uphold and enforce course rules, pace-of-play policies, and golf etiquette standards
- Ensure optimal tee time usage and effective flow of play throughout the course
- Analyze operational data and member feedback to guide decision-making and service improvement
- Lead the promotion and marketing of golf events, programs, and merchandise to grow participation and revenue
- Maintain full compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, Club policies
- Ensure the golf course and related facilities meet the highest standards of quality and customer service
- Ensure all golf carts, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and safe for use
- Recommend capital expenditures for golf facilities, technology, and equipment upgrades
- Manage the golf staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Maintain strong relationships with members, guests, and the local golfing community
- Act as the Committee Secretariat of the Sports & Games Committee and Grounds Committee
- Reports to the General Manager, Club President and Board of Directors
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
- PROFESSIONAL GOLFER’S ASSOCIATION (PGA) or CERTIFIED GOLF PROFESSIONAL background
- With EXTENSIVE GOLF OPERATIONS Management Experience
- Experience handling:
- Tournament management
- TEE TIME control & pace of play
- MARSHALLING systems
- HANDICAP administration
- Pro shop and caddie operations
- Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive SENIOR-LEVEL GOLF OPERATIONS experience in golf management, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity and service excellence
- In-depth knowledge of GOLF OPERATIONS, RULES OF GOLF, GOLF TOURNAMENT PLANNING, and hospitality best practices
- PROFICIENCY in GOLF operations software and systems (Tee Sheet, POS, inventory, etc.)
- Strategic Planning and Program Development Skills
- Capable of developing:
- ANNUAL TOURNAMENT calendar
- JUNIOR GOLF programs
- Member engagement activities
- REVENUE-GENERATING GOLF events
- Align golf operations with club financial and service goals
- Thorough Knowledge of GOLF RULES, Tournament Systems, and HANDICAP Management
- Strong Leadership and People Management Skills
- Ability to supervise:
- GOLF operations staff
- STARTERS & MARSHALS
- TOURNAMENT committee coordination
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities
- Strong financial and administrative management skills
