GOLFTEC, the US-based global leader in golf instruction with more than 30 years of experience and over 260 locations worldwide, has entered the Thai market through a joint venture with Woraluk Property Public Company Limited. The partnership has officially opened GOLFTEC Bangkok, the brand’s first centre in Thailand, at W District in Phra Khanong.
This launch positions Thailand as GOLFTEC’s newest Asian market after Hong Kong, Singapore, and China. Thai golfers now gain access to the company’s proprietary OPTIMOTION™ 3D motion capture technology and PGA-certified coaching, backed by more than 20 million lessons delivered globally.
Abhinav Gorawara, Co-Owner and Managing Partner of GOLFTEC Asia, highlighted the strategic fit: “Thailand has always been a market we care deeply about. The growing golf market, the calibre of local golfers, and the lifestyle-driven atmosphere of W District all align perfectly with GOLFTEC’s vision as a premium golf institution committed to delivering measurable, data-driven results for players at every level.”
Facilities and Services at GOLFTEC Bangkok
The new 234-square-metre facility features five private practice bays, including one dedicated to left-handed golfers. Services include:
Founder’s Club Membership
To build a committed community, GOLFTEC Bangkok has launched the Founder’s Club, limited to the first 100 members. Benefits include lifetime loyalty discounts, enhanced facility access, golf travel packages across Asia via GOLFASIAN, and invitations to exclusive networking events.
OPTIMOTION™: Data-Driven Swing Analysis
At the core of GOLFTEC’s offering is OPTIMOTION™, an exclusive 3D motion capture system that uses high-speed HD cameras and artificial intelligence. The system captures over 4,000 data points per swing without requiring wires or body sensors. It generates a precise digital skeletal model that measures key metrics such as shoulder tilt, hip rotation, and weight transfer. This technology enables coaches to identify swing flaws with high accuracy from the first session, allowing for faster and more effective improvements.
Anurag Mathur, Co-Owner and Managing Partner of GOLFTEC Asia, emphasised the approach: “Playing better golf should never be left to guesswork — it must be driven by data that delivers real, measurable results. Every one of our coaches undergoes rigorous training to harness world-class technology and data.”
Location and Target Audience
Strategically located at W District in the Sukhumvit–Phra Khanong area, adjacent to BTS Phra Khanong station, the centre offers excellent connectivity for Bangkok’s urban golfers. It targets players of all abilities — from beginners establishing proper fundamentals to serious amateurs, dedicated players, and expatriates seeking international-standard instruction.
Brienne Mahon, Head of GOLFTEC Asia, summarised the expected impact: “Over 30 years, GOLFTEC has helped more than 1.8 million golfers around the world play better and improve faster. On average, our students drop 7 strokes from their scores, and those who complete a GOLFTEC fitting gain more than 21 yards. These are the results we are bringing to Thai golfers.”
