AIA Alta Joins Forces with GAHKC to Drive Junior Golf and Legacy Building in Hong Kong

26 February, 2026

AIA Alta, the exclusive high-net-worth (HNW) proposition from AIA Hong Kong, has announced a landmark three-year partnership with the Golf Association of Hong Kong, China (GAHKC). The collaboration aims to cultivate the city’s next generation of golfers and solidify Hong Kong’s reputation as a premier golfing hub in Asia.

The centerpiece of this alliance is the launch of the ‘AIA Alta presents Junior Golf Tournament’, a multi-stage annual series designed to provide young athletes with competitive experience. This initiative aligns with the shifting priorities of affluent families; according to the latest Hurun Report, HNW parents are increasingly prioritizing experiences that build leadership, creativity, and social resilience in their children over traditional academics.

Nurturing Talent and Holistic Success

The partnership offers a structured pathway for youth development while providing AIA Alta Club members and their families with unparalleled access to the sport. Benefits for members include:

  • Bespoke Golf Clinics: Skill-building sessions for all levels.
  • Elite Coaching: Access to GAHKC-certified professionals.
  • Mentorship: Inspirational sharing sessions with Hong Kong, China Team players.
  • VIP Access: Exclusive experiences at the prestigious Hong Kong Open and networking events.

“This partnership reflects our shared vision to build sustainable pathways where young people can learn, compete, and progress,” said Alice Liang, Chief Proposition & Healthcare Officer of AIA Hong Kong & Macau. “At AIA Alta, we believe true success is achieved by balancing financial prosperity with personal well-being. Golf is more than a leisure pursuit; it is a discipline that fosters focus, integrity, and perseverance.”

Strengthening the Sporting Ecosystem

The GAHKC, governing amateur golf in the city since 1968, sees this as a vital step in maintaining Hong Kong’s competitive edge. The new tournament series will feature six stages and a grand final, scheduled to begin annually in 2026.

“Our partnership with AIA Alta marks another step forward for the development of golf in the HKSAR,” noted Kenneth Lam, President of GAHKC. “Together, we can inject fresh momentum into the sport, providing juniors with valuable experience while connecting rising stars with the wider community.”

A Vision for Future Leaders

The initiative is part of a broader commitment by AIA Alta to foster a legacy of excellence through the AIA Alta Discovery Academy. Beyond the green, the Academy empowers young leaders through workshops and international tours—such as the Oxbridge Summer Scholars program—focused on global vision and sustainability.

By integrating physical vitality with mental resilience, AIA Alta aims to support its members in achieving "Healthier, Longer, Better Lives," ensuring that a foundation of health and community complements the pursuit of wealth.
