A three-year partnership between AIA Alta (AIA Hong Kong’s exclusive proposition for high-net-worth customers) and the Golf Association of Hong Kong, China (GAHKC) has been announced. This collaboration aims to advance junior golf development in Hong Kong and reinforce the city's status as a leading golf destination in Asia.

The initiative centers on the launch of the ‘AIA Alta presents Junior Golf Tournament’, which will feature six stages followed by a grand final and take place annually starting in 2026. The tournament is intended to support the GAHKC's efforts in cultivating young golf talent.
AIA Alta Club members and their families will gain access to several exclusive benefits through the partnership, including:

  • Bespoke golf clinics
  • Personalised coaching from GAHKC-certified coaches
  • Inspirational sharing sessions with Hong Kong, China Team players
  • Exclusive experiences at the Hong Kong Open
  • Access to prestigious golf events and networking platforms

These offerings are designed to enhance members' lifestyles while aligning with AIA Alta’s focus on integrating wealth and wellness.
Alice Liang, Chief Proposition & Healthcare Officer of AIA Hong Kong & Macau, said: “This three-year partnership with the Golf Association of Hong Kong, China is an important reflection of our commitment to supporting healthy living, helping strengthen the youth sports development eco-system while reinforcing the city’s golfing legacy.

“It reflects our shared vision to build sustainable pathways where young people can learn, compete and progress. At AIA Alta, we believe true success is achieved by balancing financial prosperity with personal well-being. Golf is more than a leisure pursuit; it is a discipline that fosters focus, integrity and perseverance. Through thoughtfully curated experiences, we continue to deepen customer centric engagement and support our customers in living healthier, longer, better lives.”

Kenneth Lam, President of GAHKC, said: “The rise of Hong Kong, China golfers on the international stage stands as a testament to the GAHKC’s commitment to the development of golf in the HKSAR, and our partnership with AIA Alta marks another step forward for this development.

“The AIA Alta presents Junior Golf Tournament will feature six stages and a grand final – and will be held annually from 2026. As well as nurturing local golf talent, these joint efforts will underscore the growing prominence of golf in Hong Kong while showcasing the synergy that cross-sector partnerships can create. Together, we can inject fresh momentum into the development of golf, providing our juniors with valuable tournament experience while continuing to connect the game and its rising stars with the wider Hong Kong community.”

Established in 1968, the GAHKC serves as the governing body for amateur golf in Hong Kong. It organises more than 30 tournaments each year, supports over 15,000 members, and manages a structured player development pathway from grassroots levels to elite national squads. This system has contributed to producing internationally competitive athletes and maintaining a consistent talent pipeline.

AIA Alta Club functions as a holistic membership programme for AIA Hong Kong’s high-net-worth clients, combining elements of wellness, wealth management, and lifestyle enhancement.

An AIA spokesperson noted that golf aligns with this philosophy by promoting physical health, mental resilience, and social connections. It supports cardiovascular fitness, stress reduction, and mindfulness while building family and community ties. By leveraging the GAHKC’s expertise in talent development and event organisation, the partnership provides premium experiences that complement pursuits in health and long-term wealth.

In addition to golf-related activities, AIA Alta Club supports youth development through programmes such as the AIA Alta Discovery Academy, which offers workshops, international education tours, and experiences centred on leadership, global awareness, and sustainability. Initiatives like the Oxbridge Summer Scholars and the Future Leader Accelerator aim to equip young participants with essential skills and perspectives for future success.
