DP World Unveils Permanent Clubhouse at Zen Golf Academy to Boost Junior Golf in India

27 March, 2026

GURUGRAM, India – DP World has officially delivered a permanent Clubhouse to the ZEN GOLF Range & Academy in Gurugram, marking a major milestone for grassroots golf development in India. The launch, held just ahead of the Hero Indian Open, reinforces the logistics giant’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of sporting talent.

The Gurugram facility is the second site established under DP World’s global Clubhouse development programme, following the 2025 inaugural launch in Cape Town, South Africa.

Sustainable Infrastructure via Logistics Expertise

In a nod to its core business, DP World constructed the Clubhouse using a repurposed shipping container. This sustainable structure is specifically tailored to the local community's needs, providing:

  • High-quality golf equipment.
  • Sheltered training areas for year-round practice.
  • A dedicated, safe space for youth to develop both athletic skills and essential life skills.

As DP World evolved from a local Dubai port operator into a global supply chain leader, golf has remained a primary platform for international engagement. With India emerging as a high-growth market for the sport, the partnership with ZEN GOLF aims to make the game more inclusive and accessible.

Leadership Perspectives

"India is an important part of our global sports journey. Delivering a permanent Clubhouse here reflects our long-term commitment to strengthening the foundations of the game. We are investing in the next generation of golfers and ensuring the sport continues to grow globally." — Daniel van Otterdijk, Group Chief Communications Officer, DP World

Hemant Kumar Ruia, Country Manager for DP World India Subcontinent, emphasized the role of specialized infrastructure: "Investing in the right infrastructure is key to unlocking the next generation of talent. Through our collaboration with ZEN GOLF, we are helping create opportunities for young players to develop their skills and pursue their passion."

Shyam Grover, Managing Director of ZEN GOLF Range & Academy, noted the timing of the delivery: "India’s golf ecosystem is evolving rapidly... Having a dedicated, well-equipped space helps us to build more structured programmes and grow the game locally, ultimately helping more young golfers develop with confidence."

A Growing Global Footprint

The Clubhouse programme is set for further international expansion over the coming years. These launches will continue to be synchronized with key dates on the global golf calendar, leveraging DP World’s high-profile roles as the title partner of the DP World Tour and a Worldwide Partner of the Ryder Cup.
