LIV Golf will make Hong Kong a fixture on its global calendar following the announcement of a new multi-year agreement to bring the league back to the historic Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling beginning in 2026.
The agreement, which runs for an initial two years with an option to extend through 2029, ensures that Hong Kong remains a cornerstone of LIV Golf’s growing international schedule.
Next year’s tournament is set for March 6–8, 2026, just one week before LIV Golf Singapore, kicking off a busy month that will also feature the league’s first-ever event in South Africa from March 20–22.
For the first time in LIV Golf history, a tournament will carry a title sponsor, with HSBC joining as presenting partner for the Hong Kong event. The global bank already supports LIV Golf teams Majesticks GC (Ian Poulter) and Crushers GC (Bryson DeChambeau).
“Hong Kong welcomed LIV Golf with extraordinary enthusiasm from the very beginning,” said LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil. “We are proud to return to this special city and deliver another unforgettable week for fans, players and partners.”
Barry O’Byrne, HSBC’s CEO of International Wealth and Premier Banking, said the partnership reflects the bank’s commitment to Hong Kong’s place on the world stage.
“We are thrilled to be the title sponsor of this ground-breaking tournament, which is rapidly building a passionate fan base and expanding the sport’s appeal,” O’Byrne said.

The 2026 event will mark the third consecutive year at Fanling. Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs GC will seek to defend its team title while attempting a rare three-peat of individual victories following wins by Garcia in 2025 and Abraham Ancer in 2024.
Garcia praised the venue and its atmosphere, calling Fanling “one of the best courses we play all year” and highlighting the energy of Hong Kong fans.
“You definitely notice the crowd as the round goes on,” Garcia said. “The excitement and energy they bring make the event extra-special.”
Of LIV’s expected 14 events in 2026, 11 have been confirmed, beginning with Riyadh (February 6–8), followed by Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico City, and stops across the United States, Europe, and beyond.
Andy Kwok Wing-leung, Captain of Hong Kong Golf Club, welcomed the renewed partnership:
“As the oldest golf club in China, we are delighted to play a role in bringing LIV Golf back to the region, developing the game, and putting Hong Kong firmly on the global sporting map.”
