
The Golf Industry Association (GIA) recently wrapped up the 12th edition of the Golf & Turf Summit & Expo 2025 at Boulder Hills Golf & Country Club in Hyderabad. This event marked a significant milestone as it was the first time the flagship summit was hosted in South India. Supported by Incredible India, with Apexlynx as the Gold Sponsor and Prestige Group as the Silver Sponsor, the two-day summit brought together industry leaders, innovators, turf professionals, club managers, developers, and government representatives from across India and beyond.
The summit was inaugurated by Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad, former Ambassador to Kazakhstan, who officially opened the Expo with a red ribbon-cutting ceremony. The exhibition featured 26 premium stalls showcasing renowned brands such as Toro, Titleist, Agricare, Prestige, SGDC, IPI, Fairway, Club Car, EZGO, Rainbird, and Jacobsen. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the latest advancements in turf machinery, maintenance solutions, and golf technology.
The formal conference began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Mr. Madhusudhan Rao from Emaar Properties - Hyderabad, signaling the start of a series of engaging discussions and presentations throughout the event. The Expo floor featured a comprehensive showcase of turf management, irrigation, and golf equipment innovations, with exhibitors including SGDC, Zaverchand, Maredo, Ibex, Hydrocart, JayamHydrocart, Rainbird, Howardson, Fairway, and many others. Live equipment demonstrations and interactive displays allowed visitors to engage directly with cutting-edge technologies.
The Summit included a variety of panel discussions, power presentations, and live demonstrations, addressing emerging trends and challenges in golf and turf management. The event concluded with a Gala Dinner and Awards Night, which honored key figures and innovators in the Indian golf and turf ecosystem. Dr. N. Ramesh Kumar, IAS (Retd.) and Director General of the Administrative Staff College of India, served as the Chief Guest for the evening. Notable awards were presented to Mr. Amit Luthra as Pioneer in Indian Golf, Mr. Ranveer Singh as Inspirational Sportsperson in Golf, and Mr. Promod Kumar, a National Award Winner, for his significant contributions to golf and turf management in India.
