Jebsen & Jessen Technology – Turf & Irrigation, a division of the Technology business unit of the diversified industrial conglomerate Jebsen & Jessen Group, has been awarded a significant five-year contract to provide integrated equipment, resources, and expertise for the newly renovated 18-hole The Island Course at The Singapore Island Country Club (SICC).
This major contract sees Jebsen & Jessen Technology – Turf & Irrigation leading a multi-partner collaboration, bringing together global and local specialists including Troon International, Toro, and Eng Swee Thye Engineering. The integrated approach is designed to deliver comprehensive maintenance and continuous improvement for The Island Course, including the Rotunda practice putting greens at SICC’s Island location.
The partnership will deploy the latest turf maintenance equipment and irrigation systems, alongside world-class expertise in golf course management and maintenance services.
The Island Course recently underwent a major redesign by the renowned Nelson & Haworth golf course design company. The renovation aimed to stay true to the course's 1920s-1930s-style roots while introducing modern refinements to elevate the playing experience. Key enhancements include the addition of sand capping, a modern irrigation system, and improved grass species, all meticulously designed to improve drainage, playing, and walking conditions for SICC members and guests.
Amidst Singapore’s increasingly constrained golf landscape, SICC’s commitment to providing a premium golfing experience remains strong, as highlighted by this investment.
