About the role
Select Goods is seeking an experienced Golf Team Leader to join our dynamic Sport & Recreation Management team. This is a full-time position based in Ortigas, Pasig City, Metro Manila. As Golf Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our golf facilities and teams, ensuring exceptional service delivery, staff performance, and member satisfaction. This role is strategically important to our organisation as it directly impacts the quality of our golf operations and the overall experience of our members and guests.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and manage golf team members, including golf instructors, groundskeeping staff, and customer service personnel
- Ensure all golf facilities, courses, and equipment are maintained to the highest standards of safety and quality
- Develop and implement training programmes for golf staff to enhance their skills and customer service capabilities
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching to drive continuous improvement
- Manage member relations and handle complaints or concerns with professionalism and resolution-focused approach
- Oversee scheduling, rostering, and resource allocation to optimise team efficiency and service delivery
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the golf facility
- Contribute to the achievement of operational budgets and financial targets
- Liaise with management on strategic initiatives and provide regular reporting on team performance metrics
- Organise and coordinate golf events, tournaments, and membership activities
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within golf operations, sports management, or similar recreational facilities
- Strong knowledge of golf operations, course management, and golf industry best practices
- Excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and retain team members
- Demonstrated experience in training and coaching staff to achieve performance targets
- Strong organisational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in member engagement and relationship management
- Problem-solving capabilities with a focus on delivering practical solutions
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to sports and recreational facilities
- Proficiency in using relevant computer systems and software for scheduling, reporting, and administration
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in sports management, golf operations, or team leadership are desirable
- Experience in budget management and financial planning is advantageous
