SUMMARY:
- Sell membership shares/Increase Tournaments/ Improve Green Fee Revenues /Driving Range usage
- Manage all social media accounts. Create Marketing events for the club. Improve members and guests’ relations
- Lead all tournament logistics. Coordinate all tournaments with staff and organizers
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sales
a) Achieve Budgets on Sales of:
- Golf Memberships
- Tournaments
- Driving Range
- Green Fees
b) Build a client base from organizations and corporations.
c) Develop and lead a strategic membership development program designed to increase total membership count and membership dues revenue
d) Develop and maintain strong relationships with current members to encourage participation in club events and maintain a high level of member satisfaction
e) Develop and ensure maintenance of an accurate contact management system including call records, database and activity management
- Marketing
a) Manage all social media accounts, including creation of images/short videos to be used also for website and email marketing.
b) Initiate, organize and implement innovative events for club members
c) Create and implement marketing and promotional strategies
Tournament Supervision
a. The Tournament Supervisor will coordinate tournament operations including:
- Schedules
- Preparation course
- Council, members & staff liaison
- Groupings & Tee times
- Reporting Summary Wrap Up
b. Leads tournament coordination meeting with key people:
- Manager
- Front Desk
- Golf Course Superintendent
- Caddie Master
- Starters
- Restaurant Concessionaire
- Administrative
a) Develop annual tournament schedule
b) Develop and maintain database of committee members, outside groups and contacts
c) Develop a list of required resources including personnel
d) Monitor revenue and expenses to ensure budget goals are me
e) Develop, update and maintain “Event Book” detailing, tasks, timelines, responsibilities, contacts and historical record
4. Council
a) Act as point person on all tournament related issues including marketing, contracts, event administration and resource management
b) Attend planning meetings
c) Lead starting and scoring administration
d) Coordinate personnel during event
e) Responsible for signage such as tarps on site
f) Supervises day-to-day operations of events
g) Responsible for coordinating team meetings to prepare for events and activities related to each event
5. Facility
a) Works with Golf Course Superintendent and Manager to ensure that the golf course is in tournament condition
b) Coordinate course set up with Superintendent including tee markers hole locations, rough height, green speed, special contests etc.
c) Coordinate food and beverage and set up requests with Concessionaire
Coordinate tee gifts, prizes and certificates with Organizers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as Sales and Marketing from hospitality or golf industry; or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution or organization; or has worked as a Tournament Coordinator
- Education: College degree of any 4- year course
- Competencies / Skills:
a. Exemplary track record in delivery of targets.
b. Has a creative ability for enhancing member golf experience
- Others:
a. Strong comm skills both verbal and written
b. Can work flexible hours
c. Can play golf or have basic knowledge of the game
d. Knowledge and familiarity of exclusive golf clubs
e. Effective interpersonal skills
f. Personable. Can work harmoniously with colleagues, members and guests
