The Junior Asian Golf Academy (JAGA-UAE) has partnered with the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) to open a new golf boarding school and elite training academy at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club. This initiative, inspired by the success of JAGA's flagship academy in Thailand, aims to create a hub for elite training and education in the region.
The new facility will offer student-athletes and elite golfers access to the JAGA International Training Center (JITC), which includes an 18-hole championship course, a driving range, a short game area, and a Par 3 course.
"We are delighted with our partnership with the EGF and Al Ain," said John Laroche, JAGA's CEO and Founder. Laroche highlighted the academy's unique "JAGA-Way Belt Progression system," which uses a colored belt system—similar to Judo—to track player development objectively and consistently.
In collaboration with the EGF and the Asia Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC), JAGA plans to host over 25 World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) events annually across five countries: the UAE, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, and India. The academy will also work with the UAE National Team and other regional golf federations to provide competitive opportunities for golfers at all levels, helping them earn WAGR points and gain invitations to elite tournaments.
This new venture offers a 12-month, golf-focused training and competition platform for students and marks a significant step in developing junior golf talent in the Middle East and beyond.
