Singapore Golf Association elevate Ho to CEO

12 July, 2025

The Singapore Golf Association (SGA) has elevated Joshua Ho to the newly created role of Chief Executive Officer. This landmark appointment underscores the organisation’s commitment to further professionalising its operations and driving the long-term growth of golf in the region.

Ho, who has served as SGA’s General Manager since 2022, assumes the expanded role with immediate effect. As CEO, he will be responsible for steering SGA’s strategic direction, stakeholder engagement, and high-performance programmes, while continuing to lead day-to-day operations of the Secretariat.

“This is a pivotal time for Singapore golf,” said Ho. “We’ve seen increasing participation and notable international achievements by our players. I look forward to working closely with our partners to build on this momentum and elevate the game further across all levels.”

A graduate of Singapore Management University with a degree in Business Management, Ho began his administrative career with SGA as High-Performance Manager in 2019. He transitioned to Acting General Manager in 2021 before being confirmed in the position a year later.

Stronger ties with national agencies, regional golf bodies, and commercial stakeholders have marked his tenure. A decorated former national golfer, Ho represented Singapore from 2009 to 2019 and was part of the gold-medal-winning team at the 2017 SEA Games. He was also honoured with a Meritorious Award at the 2018 Singapore Sports Awards.

SGA President Tan Chong Huat welcomed the appointment, citing Ho’s proven track record and alignment with the association’s vision. “The creation of the CEO position reflects our strategic focus on long-term sustainability and institutional capability,” Tan said. “Joshua is a dynamic leader with deep experience as both athlete and an administrator. We are confident he will take SGA to new heights.”

Ho’s appointment signals a new chapter for SGA as it continues to enhance its governance structure and performance pathways, with a focus on youth development, elite competition, and industry collaboration.
