Officials in Vietnam’s Hung Yen province have issued an urgent directive to expedite land compensation for the ambitious Trump International Hung Yen golf, eco-tourism, and urban complex. The move signals a major push to accelerate the strategic, multi-billion dollar project linked to The Trump Organization.
At a meeting on Tuesday, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Khac Than, ordered the full approval of land compensation plans by the end of October to resolve persistent delays in land clearance. The Chairman emphasized the project's importance for the province's socio-economic development and international partnerships.
Project Details & Investment
- The complex, a partnership between Hung Yen Hospitality Services JSC (a subsidiary of Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation) and The Trump Organization, is estimated at nearly VND40 trillion ($1.53 billion).
- Spanning 888.5 hectares, the project is slated to operate for 50 years, with implementation scheduled between Q2/2025 and Q2/2029.
- A key feature is a massive 240-hectare golf facility comprising two courses (36 holes and 18 holes), positioning it as a major new golf destination in Northern Vietnam.
- The complex will also include high-end eco-residential areas, a service-trade-urban area, and a 99-hectare thematic park.
Accelerated Timeline
To ensure the new deadline is met, specific instructions were given, including:
- Issuing land recovery notices by October 6.
- Finalizing compensation plans for public land and pre-measured areas by October 8.
- Holding the involved communes accountable for any further delays.
This project, branded as the first Trump-branded complex in Vietnam, is expected to become an iconic travel and golf destination in Southeast Asia.
