Yeida to Develop 650-Acre Golf City Near Jewar Airport in Noida India

23 September, 2025

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) has announced plans to develop a world-class Golf City in Sector 22F, strategically located near the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar.

Spanning 650 acres, the project will be anchored by a championship-level golf course and complemented by residential, commercial, and institutional facilities. Yeida has engaged global consultancy Ernst & Young to prepare a feasibility study and detailed project report (DPR) for the ambitious development.

“This project is part of Yeida’s Master Plan 2041, which will be developed in line with green infrastructure and recreational concepts,” said Shailendra Bhatia, officer on special duty at Yeida. “We have engaged an agency to prepare the feasibility report for this project.”

The proposed Golf City will feature a wide range of recreational amenities including sports clubs, pro-shops, training centres, swimming pools, hostels, restaurants, and multipurpose halls. Dedicated residential options may also be built for players, trainers, and students involved in sports education.

Yeida’s Master Plan 2041 has earmarked 5,544 hectares—nearly 15% of the total urbanisable area—for green and recreational use, including parks, playgrounds, and landscaped spaces. Of this, more than 1,000 hectares are allocated specifically for recreational activities, such as sports fields, walking trails, and theme-based developments.

“Through these measures, we aim to offer diverse outdoor activities for all age groups, enhance quality of life, and foster a vibrant community,” said a Yeida official.

The Golf City project is one of the first major recreational initiatives under the master plan. Sectors 22 and 23 are also being planned as a larger recreational and sporting hub. Officials revealed that an Olympic City, with sports complexes, training facilities, and an Olympic Village, is under consideration to enable the hosting of international sporting events.

With its combination of luxury, leisure, and sports infrastructure, the Golf City is expected to position the Jewar region as a premier global destination for golf and other recreational activities.
