ANSAN, South Korea — The inaugural Hanwha Life Invitational Asia Junior Women's Golf Tournament concluded on October 8 at The Heaven Country Club in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Held over three days from October 6 to 8, the event featured junior female golfers from South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore competing on an international stage.
South Korea’s 17-year-old Yoonju Ahn, representing the Gyeonggi Province Golf Association, won the tournament with a three-round score of 11-under-par 205. She led a field of emerging talent across the three days of competition.
"It is an honor to become the inaugural champion at a tournament featuring outstanding junior players from six Asian countries," Ahn said. "Playing alongside strong golfers from other countries was motivating, and it was a meaningful opportunity to develop the experience needed to compete on the international stage."
Thailand's 18-year-old Chonpansa Tawinsang finished as the runner-up.
"It was a valuable experience to compete with excellent players on a well-prepared but challenging course," Tawinsang said. "I'm also looking forward to the opportunity to meet leading professional golfers at the 2027 Hanwha PLUS International Crown Pro-Am."
