Al Houara Golf Club to Host Back-to-Back MENA Golf Tour Events

14 February, 2026

The relaunched 2026 MENA Golf Tour is heading to the Atlantic coast, with Morocco’s Al Houara Golf Club set to host two pivotal tournaments in late February and early March.

The Tangier venue will serve as a centerpiece for the tour’s 12-event season, which provides a professional developmental platform for rising stars. The tour has historically served as a springboard for elite talent, including Ryder Cup standouts Matt Fitzpatrick and Robert MacIntyre.

Two Weeks of Championship Golf

The Moroccan swing features two 54-hole tournaments, each boasting a $100,000 USD prize purse:

  • The Al Houara Classic: February 26–28

  • The Hilton Classic: March 2–4

The championship course, a collaborative design by Graham Marsh and Vijay Singh, winds through golden sand dunes and lush vegetation between the Rif mountains and the ocean.

Executive Perspectives

Keith Waters, Chairman and Commissioner of the MENA Golf Tour, highlighted the strategic importance of the venue:

"The inclusion of Al Houara Golf Club marks an exciting milestone for both the Tour and Moroccan golf. The world-class facilities, combined with the spectacular setting on Morocco’s Atlantic coast, make it an outstanding venue for our players."

Jerome Querrien, Lead Operation and Maintenance at Qatari Diar Morocco, noted that the events reflect the club's recent evolution:

"The whole team has been working incredibly hard to elevate this club to its true potential. Hosting two MENA Tour events is both recognition of that success and an exciting platform for further growth."

Economic and Regional Impact

The series is expected to generate significant local activity, with over 500 room nights projected at the Hilton Tangier Al Houara Resort and Spa.

The double-header underscores Morocco's rising status as a premier global golf destination, following two years of intensive improvements to the course’s conditioning and guest experience.
