NEW DELHI - Air India’s frequent flyer programme, Maharaja Club, has officially partnered with the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) to become the Official Travel Partner for the upcoming DP World PGTI tournament season.
The partnership, announced on Tuesday, will run from August 2026 through April 2027. Under the agreement, Maharaja Club will provide comprehensive travel support to players and officials participating in events across the country throughout the tournament calendar.
The agreement was formally exchanged by DP World PGTI President Kapil Dev and Air India Chief Commercial Officer Nipun Aggarwal.
Beyond logistics, the collaboration aims to deliver exclusive lifestyle perks. Maharaja Club members will gain access to privileged tournament entry, dedicated hospitality, and specialized member engagement opportunities at select golf events.
DP World PGTI President Kapil Dev expressed strong optimism about the collaboration's operational impact.
"We are delighted to welcome Air India as the Official Travel Partner of the DP World Professional Golf Tour of India," Dev said. "As the Tour expands its footprint and continues to raise the bar for professional golf in India, having a trusted and iconic brand like Air India Maharaja Club by our side adds tremendous value. This partnership will ensure our players, officials and stakeholders enjoy seamless travel, allowing them to focus entirely on performance and excellence."
Air India Chief Commercial Officer Nipun Aggarwal emphasized that the alliance serves a dual purpose for both sports development and customer loyalty.
"Through this partnership, we aim to support players as they compete across the country while also creating unique and memorable experiences for our Maharaja Club members," Aggarwal stated.
The partnership will feature curated fan engagement initiatives activated across various tournament venues during the season. Air India also plans to leverage its extensive domestic and international flight networks to support the DP World PGTI’s broader strategic goal of elevating the profile of Indian golf on both a national and global scale.
