BRG Golf Opens Canyon Course at Legend Valley Country Club in Ninh Binh

18 May, 2026

BRG Golf has officially inaugurated the Canyon Course at Legend Valley Country Club, marking a significant expansion of its integrated golf, resort, and entertainment development in northern Vietnam.

The new 18-hole layout, designed by Nicklaus Design, complements the existing Rose Course and advances the project toward a full 36-hole international-standard complex. This development strengthens BRG’s position in Vietnam’s premium golf segment and supports the province’s high-quality tourism ambitions.

Proven Performance of the Rose Course
Since opening three years ago, the Rose Course has demonstrated strong market demand by hosting nearly 120 tournaments and logging over 121,000 rounds. It has successfully staged major events including the Tien Phong Golf Championship and the BRG Legend Golf Festival, establishing Legend Valley as a recognized destination for both domestic and international play.

Canyon Course Design Highlights
The Canyon Course leverages dramatic natural terrain to deliver a strategic and visually compelling golf experience. Key features include:

  • Hole 6 — The signature “Canyon” hole, featuring preserved natural rock cliffs that provide a rare and memorable challenge in the Vietnamese golf landscape.
  • Hole 9 — A nearly 470-yard hole offering panoramic views across the valley, including the Legend Valley Hotel, Brightpark amusement park, and the Rose Course. The routing winds through rocky gorges, valleys, and lakes, testing accuracy and course management.

Strategic bunker placement protects key landing zones and greens, while the putting surfaces feature varied slopes that demand precise speed control. All playing surfaces are maintained to international standards for consistent speed and quality.

Industry and Economic Impact
Provincial leaders and BRG executives highlighted the project’s broader significance. Mr. Tran Song Tung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee, noted that the Canyon Course enhances the club’s capacity to host professional international tournaments, large-scale sports events, and investment promotion activities. The development is expected to boost high-quality tourism, increase budget revenue, and generate direct and indirect employment.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, Chairwoman of BRG Group, positioned the project as a new benchmark for Vietnamese golf: “Legend Valley Country Club will create a new standard, offering golfers a vibrant work of art. Each hole is meticulously sculpted to create a unique routing.” She expressed confidence that it will become one of Vietnam’s most beautiful and challenging courses, capable of attracting top-tier international events and driving multi-fold economic growth for the region.

Integrated “Stay & Play” Model
Legend Valley Country Club operates as a comprehensive destination with the 200-room Legend Valley Hotel and Brightpark, a multi-terrain amusement park. This integrated resort model aligns with Asia’s growing “stay & play” trend, targeting premium leisure travelers, MICE groups, and serious golfers seeking extended stays. The development supports longer visitor dwell times, higher spending, and elevated service standards across the local tourism ecosystem.

Further refinements to the Canyon Course are planned to fully realize the 36-hole vision. For golf operators, developers, and suppliers, the opening represents another milestone in Vietnam’s maturing premium golf infrastructure.
