We often talk about "community engagement" or "bringing the club back into club life," but it is an entirely different thing to see it come to life on the ground.

I had the absolute pleasure of spending a whirlwind 24 hours at Robinswood Golf Club, an hour's drive outside of the Bangkok CBD, Thailand. I owe a massive thank you to COO of Reignwood Park, Stuart Daly and the General Manager of Robinswood Golf Club “Pro IT” for the wonderful invitation to experience this property firsthand.

Recognized as one of Southeast Asia’s most exclusive private golf club destinations, Robinswood GC is a masterful blend of golf course architecture, landscape artistry, and cutting-edge technology. Designed to challenge and inspire players of all levels, the course delivers a world-class playing experience framed by the natural beauty of the Thai countryside.

Set within Reignwood Park, a visionary 2,000-rai multi-generational lifestyle development in North Bangkok, Robinswood forms the centrepiece of a community dedicated to excellence.

The estate features private residences, a community mall, expansive communal gardens, comprehensive wellness and sporting facilities, and a fully accredited international school, creating a seamless balance between recreation, relaxation, and refined living.

During my stay, I toured the rapidly developing Reignwood Park sectors, and the sheer scale of activity and progress out there has to be seen. The result is a commune of distinction, a place where residents and members alike can build lasting legacies, embracing a lifestyle where sport, nature, and community coexist in harmony.

My visit was a two-part showcase of what this estate is all about: a high-energy, social neon event on the Par 3 course at night, followed by a deeper dive into their championship 18-hole course and world-class member amenities the next day.

Day 1 Night: High-Energy, Low-Stress Fun on the Fairways

My experience kicked off at sundown with Neon Night 2026. The concept was brilliant in its simplicity: take The Par 3 course at Robinswood and transform it into a striking, after-dark landscape of vibrant color, glowing lights, and modern lifestyle energy. It took them two days to set up!

By trading traditional tournament intensity for glowing fairways and great music, the event instantly stripped away the stuffiness often associated with the game.

As I noted during the evening, "It was a fantastic experience that facilitated great engagement with members living around the nine holes." The festive atmosphere of the night truly demonstrated what excellent community engagement looks like. It created a level playing field where seasoned scratch markers and casual swingers could share a laugh, making golf accessible, social, and, above all, incredibly fun. A 6-ball Ambrose kept things moving along, and luckily our 10-year-old playing partner was on it! This is not the same "glowball" events I've played in 25 years ago. New tech is used with the ball instead of an inserted glow stick.

The real magic, however, happened where the golf met the lifestyle. Hosted at the spectacular Sereno Clubhouse, located right within the Reignwood Residence Collection, the event served as a true social anchor for the entire development.

Sereno Clubhouse

Looking around the pool deck, you could see the true heartbeat of the Reignwood Park community. It was a lively mix of families, friends, members, and residents all coming together by the water. Children were laughing, neighbors were catching up over drinks, remote-controlled speedboat races in the pool, and non-golfers were having just as much fun as the players coming off the 9th green. It felt less like a rigid club event and more like the ultimate premium neighborhood block party.

A massive part of the evening’s upbeat vibe was driven by an incredible lineup of corporate partners who actively participated in fueling the fun: TOPGOLF THAILAND, Pernod Ricard, VOSS, SWAG, G/FORE, breaking par, Omazz, TP1, PARK11, and Reignwood Park.

They provided the premium lifestyle backing to ensure every resident and guest experienced world-class hospitality.

Day 2: Exploring the Championship 18 Holes and Club Assets

The next morning offered a completely different, yet equally impressive, perspective of the property. I started my day having breakfast at the main clubhouse with COO Stuart Daly, followed by a detailed venue tour. Stuart gave me an insider's look at the venue’s background and walked me through the jaw-dropping luxury homes within the estate.

One architectural element really caught my eye. As I looked out over the development, I couldn't help but admire the ingenious engineering: "It’s a truly unique layout where the golf course surrounds a moat, which in turn surrounds the residential facilities."

After the tour, I headed out for a solo round on the 18-hole championship course. The course itself is defined by its meticulously sculpted fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and USGA-standard greens that demand both precision and creativity. Advanced course management systems ensure exceptional playing conditions year-round.

Reflecting on the layout, I found it to be a "very well-conditioned, resort-style course with varied tee positions and greens featuring good contours." Even though I didn't test myself from the furthest back championship tees, it was a thoroughly enjoyable game. I highly recommend that any golfer targeting Southeast Asia puts this course firmly on their agenda to play.

My on-site experience was rounded out beautifully by the top-tier service. I was accompanied by a fantastic caddy, allowing me to complete my solo round at a great pace. Afterward, I checked out the locker room facilities, which feature a massive, world-class spa, before relaxing in my room ahead of my departure.

The Claude Harmon III Performance Golf Academy

Marking the first branch in Southeast Asia and only the third of its kind globally, joining prestigious locations in the United States and the United Arab Emirates, this elite facility brings world-class instruction directly to Pathum Thani.

The academy represents three generations of unparalleled golfing expertise, rooted in a family legacy that has shaped the modern game. Headed by Claude Harmon III, son of the legendary Claude “Butch” Harmon Jr., who coached sports icons like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, the academy utilizes the same pedigree of instruction that has guided major champions like Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson.

Whether training an amateur looking to fix a slice or a seasoned golf pro fine-tuning their swing for the international stage, the facility offers a comprehensive approach to development. Students gain access to state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, modern facilities, and direct guidance from highly trained specialists.

Furthermore, in collaboration with KIS International School Reignwood Park, the academy features a dedicated junior program designed to nurture young talent from their early years up to professional standing, paving the way for international scholarships and collegiate success. By blending cutting-edge sports science with generations of coaching wisdom, the Claude Harmon III Performance Golf Academy establishes Robinswood as the premier hub for athletic excellence and high-performance golf in the region.

A Vision for Lasting Connection

While the township and residential areas are in their early stages, the foundation here is undeniable. The entire community ecosystem is exceptionally well-thought-out.

Neon Night 2026 and my subsequent look at the 18-hole championship operation successfully reaffirmed Robinswood’s vision of what a modern club lifestyle should look like. They’ve proven that thoughtfully designed spaces like The Par 3 course, the championship layout, and the Sereno Clubhouse are more than just sports infrastructure; they are dynamic platforms for connection, creativity, and lasting legacies.

When you get member and community engagement right, you don't just build a successful private club; you build a family. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and I can safely say I very much look forward to returning to Robinswood in the future.

Hats off to the team at Reignwood Park for showing the industry how to put the social back into the golf club business!
