Qiddiya City has announced a partnership with the Faldo Series to host its regional youth events in Saudi Arabia as part of a broader initiative to establish the city as a major sports and entertainment hub. Alongside the partnership, details were released regarding a new 18-hole championship golf course and public clubhouse facility built at the foot of the Tuwaiq Cliffs.

Youth Golf Hub and Faldo Series Partnership

Under the agreement, Qiddiya City becomes a global partner of the Faldo Series, an international pathway program for junior golfers. The city will serve as the host venue for Faldo Series events in Saudi Arabia, aiming to develop both local and international youth golf talent.

Course Design and Features

Designed by six-time Major champion Sir Nick Faldo, the 18-hole championship course is situated beneath the 200-meter-high Tuwaiq Cliffs. The course layout incorporates several specific operational features:

• Accessibility: Designed to accommodate beginner golfers through to professional players.
• Three-Hole Return Layout: Allows players the option to complete shorter rounds.
• Floodlighting: Installed across the course to enable evening play.

Clubhouse, Academy, and Community Facilities

Architecture firm Patterson's designed the landmark clubhouse, driving range, and golf academy. Recognized by its green roof design, the facility integrates three distinct zones: the Golf Clubhouse, the Social & Wellness Hub, and the Academy.

The public facility will include:

• Fitness and wellness centers
• Indoor and outdoor swimming pools
• Dining venues and social spaces
• Year-round community programming

Alignment with Vision 2030

The project forms part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 framework, focusing on sustainable design, community well-being, and expanding sports infrastructure in the region.
