Nepal Golf Association Signs International Partnership with China’s ADAY GOLF

18 August, 2026

KATHMANDU — The Nepal Golf Association has signed a cooperation agreement with China’s Guangzhou ADAY GOLF Sports Development Company Limited to help grow and promote Nepali golf internationally.

The agreement was signed by Tashi Ghale, President of the Nepal Golf Association, and Huang Go Mei, President of Guangzhou ADAY GOLF Sports Development Company.

Key Terms of the Bilateral Agreement

Under the partnership, the Nepali national golf team will receive access to international-standard training facilities in Guangzhou, China.

The agreement establishes collaboration across several key areas:

  • Providing high-level training environments for Nepali players in China.
  • Developing a dedicated golf academy in Nepal.
  • Facilitating exchange programs for players and coaches.
  • Promoting regional golf tourism between Nepal and China.

Mark Tui, co-founder of Guangzhou ADAY GOLF Sports Development Company, noted that ADAY is among China’s largest golf companies. He committed the company to supporting the sport's development by organizing competitive golf events in both Nepal and China.

Plans for a Dedicated National Golf Academy

Nepal Golf Association President Tashi Ghale highlighted that golf development in the country remains in its early stages, with current efforts heavily focused on junior player production and expanded training opportunities.

To support long-term growth, the association is actively seeking government land allocation to construct a golf academy.

"The development of golf in Nepal is still in its initial phase. We are particularly focused on the development of junior players. A golf academy is necessary for producing players and for training. For that, we are requesting land from the government," Ghale said.

Ghale expressed confidence that the partnership with ADAY will contribute significantly toward addressing local infrastructure and training constraints.

Asian Games Apparel Sponsorship Announced

During the same event, sports attire was officially handed over to the Nepali golf team ahead of the upcoming Asian Games in Japan.

Waldo Dynasty Ang Ho Nepal is sponsoring the apparel for the national team's players, coaches, and officials. Waldo Dynasty Ang Ho Nepal President Steward Chong presented the uniforms directly to NGA President Ghale, who expressed gratitude and confirmed that all team members will wear the sponsored attire during competition.

"We have been cooperating with Nepal for a long time," Chong said, adding that the organization has supported Nepal's international sports delegations with uniforms since 2014 and is pleased to partner with the national golf team.

Despite recent increases in Nepal's international golf participation, the sport continues to face challenges in infrastructure, coach training, and player production. Association leadership expects this new partnership with China, alongside private-sector sponsorship, to aid in overcoming these structural obstacles.
