Dreamland Golf Club has named Russell Wilson as its new Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the club’s agronomy operations as it continues to invest in course quality and member experience.
Managed by IMG Golf Course Services, Dreamland Golf Club is part of the Dreamland Resort located near Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, Azerbaijan. The resort features an 18-hole Dye Design championship golf course, luxury residential properties, and premium hospitality and recreational facilities.
Wilson brings extensive international experience to the role, having started his career in Portugal before spending the past ten years as Golf Course Superintendent at Ghala Golf Club in Oman. During his time at Ghala Golf Club, he led course improvement and maintenance projects focused on delivering high-quality playing surfaces and implementing sustainable agronomic practices.
His appointment aims to strengthen the club's long-term commitment to course presentation and elevate its standing in the Caucasus region.
Chris Brown, Senior Director of Operations at IMG, emphasized the strategic importance of the hiring:
