Hoiana Shores Golf Club to Host Inaugural BMI Asia-Pacific Programme

11 June, 2026

DA NANG, Vietnam — Hoiana Shores Golf Club has announced a new collaboration with the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) to launch the Business Management Institute (BMI) Asia-Pacific Programme. This initiative is designed to elevate professional standards and advance career development for those working in the club and golf industries across the region.

A New Education Framework

The BMI programme is a globally recognized education pathway developed by the CMAA. It aims to equip club management professionals with leadership capabilities, advanced knowledge, and practical operational skills. Participants in the programme will have the opportunity to pursue the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation, a benchmark of professional excellence.

The partnership was formed following strategic meetings between Hoiana Shores Golf Club and CMAA representatives, including Jason Koenigsfeld and Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) General Manager Nick Shan. The parties sought to create an education framework specifically tailored to the needs of the Asia-Pacific region, supporting both current managers and the next generation of industry leaders.

Building on a Global Reputation

This announcement follows Hoiana Shores Golf Club’s successful hosting of the 2024 Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific (WAAP) championship. The venue received praise from The R&A, the APGC, the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA), and international media for its course conditions and service.

Industry professional Aylwin Tai, who brings over 20 years of experience to the project, will work with the CMAA to oversee the implementation of the programme.

Program Launch Details

Hoiana Shores Golf Club will serve as the official host venue for the initiative. The inaugural BMI Asia-Pacific Programme is scheduled to take place from August 17–21.

The programme holds the support and endorsement of both The R&A and the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, marking what organizers describe as a long-term commitment to innovation and professional development within the regional golf community.
