Gray Unanimously Re-elected as AGIF President for Third Term

30 December, 2025

The Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) has announced that Chris Gray will continue to lead the organization as President for the 2026-2027 term. Gray’s re-election was confirmed by a unanimous vote during the Federation’s 16th Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Gray, who serves as the Head of Sustainable Golf & Agronomy Asia-Pacific with The R&A, expressed optimism about the trajectory of the sport in the region.

“These are exciting times for the Asian golf industry in general and the Asian Golf Industry Federation in particular,” Gray said. “Following another notable year of progress for the AGIF, we look forward to continuing to assist the golf industry in Asia in 2026 to take the next step in development toward a sustainable industry.”

A Stable Leadership Team

The Federation’s core leadership remains intact to ensure continuity in its strategic mission. Joining Gray on the Executive Committee are:

  • Vice President: Adam Calver (Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club)
  • Treasurer: Mark Donohue (Rain Bird)
  • Secretary: Michael Wong (Singapore Island Country Club)

The Board will be further supported by a diverse group of industry leaders representing companies such as Campey Turf Care Systems, Green Dynasty, Centaur Asia Pacific, 54 Vietnam, Jebsen & Jessen, and Brandt Consolidated. Gray noted that the Federation is "fortunate to have so many outstanding individuals" dedicated to driving the industry forward.

Membership and Event Growth

A significant portion of the AGIF’s recent success was attributed to Rishi Narain, who joined the management team 10 months ago as Head of Events, Sponsorship, and Membership.

Under Narain’s leadership, the Federation reported:

  • A surge in membership renewals and the acquisition of new members.

  • The successful execution of the Club and Turf Management Conference in Thailand.

  • The Federation’s "best-ever" Annual International Summit in Kuala Lumpur, held alongside the LPGA Tour’s Maybank Championship.

Transition on the Board

The AGM also marked the departure of Henry Ng, Regional Manager Asia with Sustane Natural Fertilizer, who stood down from the Board. Gray praised Ng as a "stalwart of the Federation," thanking him for his "sterling service" and lifelong commitment to the industry.
