US golf lifestyle brand Malbon Golf is scaling its retail footprint in China with stores in Shanghai and Beijing, as part of a broader push into the Mainland market.
The Los Angeles-based brand opened its first Mainland China flagship at Shanghai’s Jing’an Kerry Centre earlier this year, followed by a second location in the West Bund. It has also launched a store at Taikoo Li Sanlitun in Beijing.
Further expansion is planned, with Hangzhou and Shenzhen among the cities in the pipeline. The rollout establishes Malbon across several of China’s major urban markets.
The Shanghai stores blend Malbon’s signature golf and streetwear aesthetic with local cultural references. The West Bund site features vintage Shanghai imagery and nods to the city’s music and creative scene, alongside interactive golf elements. The Taikoo Li Sanlitun store takes a similar approach, incorporating Beijing-inspired design details and a city-specific product range that includes the brand’s apparel and accessories within its broader lifestyle concept.
China-exclusive products form a key part of the strategy, with city-specific collections developed to sit alongside Malbon’s core golf apparel and accessories range.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2017, Malbon operates at the intersection of golf and lifestyle fashion, spanning apparel, accessories and cultural collaborations. In China and other markets including Vietnam and the Philippines, the brand partners with TKG Lifestyle.
