SINGAPORE — Sentosa Golf Club is set to conclude an unprecedented stretch of elite professional golf as it prepares to host the 54th edition of the Singapore Open from 23–26 April. The event marks the third world-class tournament staged at the venue in just eight weeks, following the HSBC Women’s World Championship and Aramco LIV Golf Singapore.
The club’s "Championship" season has already delivered historic moments on its iconic course, The Serapong. Australia’s Hannah Green secured the HSBC Women’s World Championship title, followed by a dramatic playoff victory by Bryson DeChambeau at Aramco LIV Golf Singapore.
The course has earned significant praise from the world's elite for its conditioning:
After a four-year hiatus, the Singapore Open returns to Sentosa, a venue that has hosted 14 editions of the event since 2006. The tournament's "roll of honour" includes Major champions such as Ángel Cabrera, Sergio García, and three-time winner Adam Scott.
“It is a golf course that obviously if you play well, you can score in,” said Sergio García, the 2018 champion. “This course has been so good throughout the years that it really hasn't needed much tinkering.”
Executing three professional tournaments in such a condensed window is a rare global feat, attributed to the club’s commitment to being "tournament-ready 365 days of the year." As the first golf club to sign the UN Sports for Climate Action Initiative, Sentosa integrates modern agronomy with innovative environmental practices.
Andrew Johnston, General Manager and Director of Agronomy at Sentosa Golf Club, stated:
“Welcoming the Singapore Open back to Sentosa is a real honour... With three championships in a short window, it takes a coordinated effort across agronomy and operations to keep standards where they need to be. Our focus is on doing the basics well every day and delivering consistent, tournament-ready conditions.”
The Singapore Open serves as the second stop on The International Series 2026 calendar. Beyond the trophy, the stakes are exceptionally high for the field:
