The 12th edition of the Vietnam Golf & Leisure Awards concluded on September 15 at Grand Plaza Hanoi, recognizing standout golf courses, destinations, and brands while expanding into an integrated industry platform.

The announcement and awards ceremony was held alongside the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) industry conference, B2B business matching, and golf product showcases. Attendees included representatives from the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Golf Association, the judging panel, as well as course operators, resorts, businesses, and international experts.

Key Award Winners and Top Honors

Evaluation for the 2026 awards combined public voting, nationwide on-site surveys, and judging panel assessments. Metrics covered course quality, landscaping, maintenance, service, caddie standards, dining, environmental practices, resort offerings, and overall golfer experience. A total of 32 Golf categories and 16 Golf Leisure & Services categories were presented.

Introduction of the Vietnam Golf & Leisure Triple Crown

The 12th edition introduced new awards to recognize sustained excellence across multiple editions.

The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram received the inaugural Vietnam Golf & Leisure TRIPLE CROWN, a special distinction for golf courses named "Best Golf Course in Vietnam" three times. The award is designed to highlight long-term operational quality and leadership in the industry.

Integration with AGIF Conference and B2B Networking

The 2026 event expanded beyond an awards ceremony by pairing with the AGIF to host the Vietnam Golf Industry Conference 2026 under the theme "Tourism – Technology – Turf." The event also incorporated B2B Business Matching & Networking and a Golf Industry Display to connect operators, service providers, and tourism partners.

Pham Tien Van, Head of the Organising Committee of the Vietnam Golf & Leisure Awards 2026, outlined the structure:

"By bringing the Awards together with the Conference, B2B Networking and the exhibition area, the programme has become a more open platform — a place where knowledge is shared, best practices are promoted and new relationships are formed."

Strategic Perspectives on Vietnam’s Golf Tourism

Industry leaders at the event addressed strategies for sustaining growth within the sector:

• Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, emphasized the value of the awards and noted the importance of promoting golf tourism, strengthening industry connections, developing professional tournaments, and improving supporting services and resort infrastructure.
• Peter Walton, Chief Executive of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), pointed to Vietnam's growth momentum and advocated for a destination-cluster approach:

"Golf tourism should be developed strategically and tailored to the characteristics of each golf course and destination, helping to optimise capacity, increase revenue and build a stronger foundation for sustainable growth."
