The Vietnam Golf Coast clubs are gearing up for an exciting 2025, building on the fantastic momentum from 2024 as Central Vietnam continues to shine as a premier golf hub in Asia.
“Central Vietnam is hitting its stride as a world-class golf destination,” said Stephen Banks, Director of Golf at Laguna Golf Lang Co. “2025 presents an exciting opportunity to solidify our position on the global stage,” He added that the focus will be on showcasing the region's incredible offerings to new markets while promoting the game of golf across Vietnam.
Thanks to its stunning courses designed by golf legends like Sir Nick Faldo, Luke Donald, Colin Montgomerie, Greg Norman, and Robert Trent Jones Jr., the region has become a hotspot for golf enthusiasts.
The excitement for 2025 is further fueled by a packed events calendar. One of the big highlights is the Asia Golf Tourism Convention returning to Danang from April 2-4, where all three VGC clubs—Laguna Golf Lang Co, Montgomerie Links, and Ba Na Hills Golf Club—will host activities for over 50 global representatives.
In April, the Asia Grand Final of the Faldo Series will also make its comeback at Laguna Golf Lang Co, showcasing young talent from around the region. Other major events include the Danang Invitational World Golf Championship from June 2-12 and the Vietnam World Masters Golf Championship from September 7-13.
Laguna Golf Lang Co is also looking to drive interest in Australia and New Zealand, following successful roadshows in 2024, with new campaigns to promote Central Vietnam in those areas.
Adding to the appeal are new air routes connecting Danang International Airport to destinations worldwide. In 2025, direct flights will resume to cities like New Delhi and Mumbai in India, Nagoya and Osaka in Japan, and Doha in Qatar.
“Central Vietnam is flourishing as a destination where golfers can find a unique blend of championship courses, luxurious resorts, and cultural treasures” said Le Vo Hoang Van, club manager at Montgomerie Links. “The continual addition of new air routes and high-profile events further enhances our appeal, making it easier than ever for golfers worldwide to experience this extraordinary region.”
Sustainability is also a key part of the VGC’s strategy. Laguna Golf Lang Co is teaming up with Thanh Lanh and Royal Long An—two other Faldo-designed courses—to propose the Faldo Vietnam Open, aiming to position Vietnam as a leader in junior golf development and sustainable tourism.
“Our focus for 2025 is not just on delivering exceptional golf experiences but also on ensuring that we operate in harmony with the environment and local communities,” said Simon Mees, General Manager at Ba Na Hills Golf Club. “With a record-breaking 2024 behind us, we’re poised to take Central Vietnam’s golf scene to even greater heights.”
