The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and global investment platform moomoo have announced a strategic partnership to stage the inaugural Futu Ladies World Championship Presented by Moomoo in Hong Kong. The event will feature a $3.4 million purse — the largest of any LPGA Tour tournament in Asia.
Scheduled for 4–7 March 2027 at The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club, the tournament marks the LPGA’s first return to Hong Kong since 1976. It will serve as the finale of the Tour’s 2027 spring Asia swing, which also includes events in Thailand and Singapore. A 78-player field of the world’s top female professionals is expected to compete, with coverage planned across approximately 130 countries.
Organized in collaboration with SMK and title sponsor Futu Holdings Limited, the multi-year agreement aims to elevate the visibility of women’s golf across Asia and the Greater Bay Area while supporting youth development initiatives in Hong Kong. Moomoo plans to combine the event’s international reach with its fintech platform to broaden engagement with the sport.
The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club, often referred to as the “Pebble Beach of Asia,” provides a scenic coastal layout known for its strategic challenges and ocean views. The venue’s championship credentials played a key role in securing the event for Hong Kong.

Players including China’s Ruoning Yin, Thailand’s Patty Tavatanakit and the United States’ Andrea Lee have already expressed support for the new event and attended the official announcement.
The tournament carries the theme “Future is in Play,” reflecting the partners’ shared long-term commitment to growing women’s golf in the region. Confirmed official partners include Morgan Stanley, Trip.com Group, Rolex, Tasaki, South China Morning Post and O’Melveny & Myers LLP.
The Futu Ladies World Championship Presented by Moomoo is set to become a significant addition to the LPGA’s Asian calendar and a landmark professional sports event for Hong Kong.
